Gelvam Hartmann

Post-doc at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences of University of São Paulo (IAG/USP). His PhD was done in the IAG/USP and the Institute de Physique du Globe de Paris (IPGP), in 2010. He works with absolute paleointensity techniques in archeological and geological materials to study the intensity secular variation of the geomagnetic field over the past few millennia. He is particularly interested in short term variations in South America and the structures of the field like the well-known South Atlantic Magnetic Anomaly.
